How did lotr get turned into a woest me story? I mean we all feel for Smeagol for a second then we remember that all he wants is the precious and shut out the rest of the world to the point that he isn’t even recognizable to himself and goes by a new name. He also had the ring for 500 years and last time I checked man doesn’t typically live that long.

Normally I don’t care about things like this, but I can’t let one of my favorite stories get played like that!

You Don’t “Get” My Pop-Culture References

I can understand if I point at you and say “…Bang,” I may have to explain the Cowboy Bebop reference.  I get it if you look at me funny when I end my “One does not simply prance into…” sentence early. But really, you’ve never seen a single Lord of the Rings movie? Yeah, I’m the nerd here, even though they all won movie of the year. You also haven’t seen Star Wars? Are you kidding me? Even if you didn’t, I feel like you would have got that just from watching TV or being on the internet at all within the last 10 years. You REALLY don’t know what a Horcrux is? Or that Soylent Green is people? Or that Xzibit was the host of Pimp My Ride? How do you have any foundation for your jokes? Oh, I get it now, TV’s not really your thing and you don’t go on the internet much. Well, all of my flirtation is deeply rooted in comedy and I have just learned that you have almost no sense of humor. Adios. At least I’m still a free bitch, baby.

YES! I concur with Dealbreaker that is. Don’t get salty at me when you’re the one who doesn’t know. Come on Sam, the rest of the class is already on page 42! I feel like 80% of my conversations involve references so whoever I converse with should prepare to deal with it. Every time I see Knocked Up I look at Katherine Heigl during this part and think, really Allison? Are there really people in America her age that don’t know who Doc Brown is?

When I look for someone to pursue I will direct them to this post, no need for both of us to waste time. btw nice touch with the I’m a free bitch baby.
